Though Google remains as the major leader in search engine, Facebook graph search is more of a novelty for regular users. It provides a trusted social search using likes and recommendations of Facebook friends to get the most reliable results. Following are the tips to obtain better search results using Facebook graph search and to boost up the Facebook page ranking in search engines.
Fill Out Your Profile Info
Facebook encourages clients to completely fill up their Facebook profile with vanity urls, photos, videos, business name and “about” section with hot keywords and phrases that would help people to find you out in search results.
Business name or title of your Facebook page always matters and is an important part of the ranking process in google’s index, similarly works in Facebook graph search. It is considered as caption 1 in serp (search engine results page) which means that the results are shown in google from this tag in search results. Keep in mind that when you create a page, it mainly intends for customer engagement.
Facebook has an option which will allow you to choose the Facebook page corresponding with the custom created i.e. Personal/pride url. Ensure that both Facebook page name and url are direct, natural and relevant.
The title has a bigger impact on search results, thus try to give description for photos and videos. Try to use the images that are of high resolution. “About” section is a crucial factor in Facebook page, so try to give a couple of keywords that is catchy to viewers.
User Engagement
User engagement includes the amount of likes, shares and comments that are acquired for Facebook page or its contents. All these points are estimated by search engines, but will be more obvious in search results of the Facebook graph search because it has considerably more data.
Using Social Facebook Partners
Wikipedia and freebase act as the sources for the majority of pages that would help people for reference in search results.
Follow The Links
Facebook suggests you clues of the track of links you could follow, when you get started with graph search. As your search tapers, you could see the familiar trail of links that would help you to make new acquaintances.
Get ideas from Facebook fans
You can get a lot of content ideas from your fans if you run a brand’s page. There would be future content ideas, groups that fans have joined, find movies, games and other pages that fans liked etc.
Let Facebook Complete The Search
Facebook graph search is not a search engine like Google. But it can understand questions and tries to provide many questions/options by auto-completing or rephrasing the questions. And before hitting enter key to your question, Facebook provides a drop-down from where you could search the question, what you exactly mean and select the option.
Know The Limitations
Facebook graph search gets more powerful with the ability to search the status update by third party applications. But Facebook only knows the matter that people have liked.

Sunil,
I really had no idea that Facebook even had a search engine. That is very interesting. I am going to have to go and have a look at it.
I do have to set up a Facebook page for my blog. I have put that off because I find all of that stuff confusing but I guess I will just have to get it done. Especially if it will help in the search engines.
Great info. Thanks.
